🏟️ Geofencing alerts

Definition

Geofencing alerts, which are activated following server-side analysis of geolocation data, trigger an email notification when an asset enters or leaves a predefined geographic area. This alert can be used to protect your valuable assets, detect unauthorized movements, inform your teams of the arrival of assets…

Create a geofencing alert

Go to the app Hiboo and click the Alerts > Configuration tab > Geofencing, then follow the configuration steps below:

  1. Give a name to your alert, e.g., Zone Entry/Exit.

  2. Select the location of the centre of the geographical zone by searching for an address. Note that the locations added to the Address Book will be pre-filled in the search drop-down list.

  3. Construct a Geofencing zone using the polygon tool. To validate the zone, go back to the starting point. To delete an area and start again, select the area and click on the dustbin icon.

  4. Select a colour to differentiate the created area from other areas.

  5. Select when you wish to be alerted by checking the desired box:

  6. Select the vehicles for which you wish to be alerted.

  7. Select the address(es)/zones for which you wish to be notified.

  8. Add the exclusion times of the alert to not receive notifications in certain time slots.

You are ready! Click Save.
