⛽️ Customize your energy

Context

In Hiboo you can specify for each of your equipment which energy is consumed by selecting it from a list. This way, the calculation of your carbon emissions will take into account the emission factor of the selected energy.

Where to view the energy?

On the equipment profile

For an equipment, on the first tab Profile, view the energy currently taken into account in the calculation of the Carbon emissions of the equipment in question.

In the inventory

Click on Column and ask to add "Energy and emission factor".

How to change the energy?

💡 Please note: changing the energy is currently an admin feature. Please also note that the GNR is shown by default

Are you testing a new, less carbon intensive energy? You want to change the energy because a category does not use this energy?

There are two ways to do this, (1) equipment by equipment via the equipment profile or (2) en masse via an import.

Equipment by equipment

On an equipment profile, at the top right click on More then Edit Profile and select an energy from the drop down menu.

Use the bulk import from the inventory, and specify a code and not the name of the energy.

Impact of a change

If you make a change to the energy of an equipment, the daily carbon emissions will take into account the emission factor of this new energy from the date of change. Past emissions that were calculated with the emission factor of the previous energy will not be changed.
